On the 14th of September 2011 the institute held an educational and cultural field trip to Chemy Khoran for the participants of the access program which is 40 kilometers far from the north east of Kirkuk.
The students were transferred to the location by four buses; the members of the staff divided themselves between the four buses to take care of the participants.
Several of activities were held in the trip and as a starter the students presented a play under the name of (Achieving success) were students presented there talents for example drawing the picture of jive by the participant Mustafa Khalid.
There was also a football game between the participants; some of the staff members also took part in it.
A group of rap also played some rap in English and in their mother tongue language.
Students also opened a gallery to present beautiful paintings done by them with the help of the staff and their teachers.
Students also presented their own talents like playing the guitar and the drum.
